CHECK OUT THIS GIVE AWAY!
I love anything to do with setting a pretty table and I also love give-aways! Nina has visited here on my site several times and commented. Imagine my surprise when I went over to visit her site and saw this BEAUTIFUL table set, from Portugal, being given away. She has a lovely blog about their missionary adventures in Portugal - stop over and say Hi to Nina from Portugal today! Wouldn't you just love to win this set? I sure would! Well go on over and join the fun! And tell her I sent you.

I feel funny calling you just....Sarr...how about Ms. Starr...That's what I was raised to do in the South, especially with the preacher's wife. Is that ok...or what do the college kids call you...since I'm so close to their age...hee hee...yea, right!
Thanks for the link! If you win, do you promise to feed a missionary family at your table??? I was a Pastor's wife before we came to Portugal. My husband pastored in Georgia and I loved it!! I miss it so bad sometimes....because I'm not as advanced with the language as I'd like to be, I can't really "love" the folks here like I want to...like I did in Georgia....soon enough I pray!----And I LOVEd feeding missionary families...well, any family really!
Thanks for the link!
"Just Starr" is fine with me Nina! And if I win, you can count on me feeding a missionary family at my table w/ the beautiful set! As a matter of fact, I fed a missionary all week at our table, just a couple weeks ago (we just had our missions conference). He was a veteran missionary to Hungary. We have dinner guests all the time, including missionaries! We just LOVE missionaries - our church supports 45 missionaries and we are getting ready to take on several more. Our Faith Promise jumped a CONSIDERABLE amount after our conference this year. The Lord really did a work in people's hearts!
Oh...Starr (I feel weird calling you by your first name) you gave me chill bumps with your faith promise story! I am rejoicing here in Portugal with the great news! God is faithful!
Starr....HELP!
I am carrying a cake to my daughters classroom tomorrow to celebrate her 8th birthday. I need a good, fairly easy cake recipe from scratch. (Or possible for cupcakes.) I also need an icing recipe. There are no cake mixes or frosting in a tub here, so I need help.
Email me.... nina@mbcportugalmissions.com
Thanks!!
I'm so sorry I didn't get on last night Nina. I hope you found what you were looking for. I'm on my way out the door this morning or else I'd look for my Hershey's mayonnaise cake recipe for you - it is sooooo yummy. I'm sure if you googled that title, the recipe would pop up for you.
I haven't made anything yet yet. I don't need it til Friday. I did find a recipe for a chocolate mayo cake. I think I'll try it. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks!
